In Bangladesh, the Sundarbans Forest is one of the biggest mangrove areas in the world. At the mouth of the delta is a sandy strip of land called Dhulasar and it is subjected to cyclones, floods and monsoon winds. But as soon as the good weather returns, fishermen from all over the country come to capitalise on the bay's incredibly fertile waters. In no time at all, they cover the coast with wooden pontoons and build straw villages on the beaches for a five-month fishing season. In November, during the full moon, Hindus come to Dhulasar to celebrate Mela, a religious festival that pays homage to Krishna and Ramah. Presented by Silvio Rivier
